My Grandma Simmons

When my Grandma Simmons started going downhill in her health she had gone to the hospital for a few days and they gave her about 6 months to live. We had taken her out of the hospital cause there wasn't much else they could do so she went to live at my Uncle Darcy and Aunt Vikki's house. Since then she had her good days and bad days. Each time we would go and visit her I knew it was getting closer to the day she would leave this earth. When we went to see her on Sunday Septmber 7,2008 my dad said she probably has until about the end of the week. Well little did I know she didn't even have that long. The next day Monday September 8,2008 I woke up like any other day and got ready for work. I left for work at 12:45pm. When I arrived at work I realized my dad called so I called him back and that's when I found out she had passed away at 12:15pm. My eyes filled up with tears. I got work off that day and the whole Simmons family and I spent that day at my Uncle Darcy and Aunt Vikki's house. That day was a very sad day.
Thursday September 11,2008 was the day of the viewing. I was nervous to see her laying in the cascet. When I showed up at the viewing I saw her and she was so beautiful in her white temple clothes. I also saw pictures of her and grandpa when they were young and I could see why they married each other. My Grandma was so beautiful and my Grandpa was so handsome and I think they made the perfect couple. The viewing had a very good turn out.
The funeral was the next day on Friday September 12,2008. We had to be at the church at 9:45am. The viewing was from 10:00am-11:00am then the funeral started. My two sisters Ashleigh and Shelby and my cousin Brianna sang Be Still My Soul and I played the piano for them. Everyone thought it turned out really well. After, we drove up to the cemetery. After they gave the prayer the let each of the grandchildren pick a rose off of her cascet cause my Grandmas favorite flower was a rose. I thought that was really neat. After we got some pictures taken we went back to the church for the luncheon and just hung out for the rest of the time. The funeral turned out really nice and beautiful. I will always remember and love my Grandma Simmons. I just tell my self she is in a better place with her family.

How I feel about institute

I Started institute about 3 weeks ago. Everyone was telling me how great and wonderful it would be. Well to me it is not all that great. I am the only one in my class who has pretty much even touched let alone play the piano. Also everyone was telling me "Oh this will be a great experience." or "Oh you will make alot of friends." I haven't made one single friend and I don't really even want to play the piano. Sometimes I don't even want to go but I go anyway. I am probably just going to keep going and hope it all gets better.

Getting a job in the Bakery at Macey's Grocery Store

Well as lots of you know I have been working at Macey's Grocery Store for about 9 months as a bagger/cashier. Well about a month ago I applied for a position in the frozen department but I didn't get it but the lady who does the hiring offered me a position in the bakery and I said I would be interested. For about 2 weeks now I have been working in the bakery. I love it back there, the people treat eachother so much better than up front and the manager is awesome. I am back there just part time but I hoping soon they will let me be back there full time because I just love it. One of my favorite things to do back there in the early morning is cut the bread and package it. I just love the bakery and the people back there so I hope it will all work out.

Ice Skating

Ice Skating is a dangerous, physical sport and it happens to be my favorite sport. Ice Skating is my stress reliever even though it can be tiring and painful. I have lost count of all the bruises I have gotten from falling on the ice. Falling on the ice may look painless but it really isn't.
Okay what I have been trying to get to is if you have your own ice skates there are a few things you can't do without like 1. You need laces to tie up your boot of course 2. You need what are called hard gaurds so when you walk on the ground your blades won't get as dull.

3. You need what are called soft gaurds or also known as soakers. You put soakers on your blade when you are done skating so the blade doesn't become rusted from the wetness. you always want to store your ices skates with the soakers on or you'll be sorry.
The two jumps I have learned in the past year are the waltz jump and the toe loop. The waltz jump is a half rotation. This jump you don't use your toe pick you use your edge unlike the toe loop in which you use your toe pick. The toe loop is a full rotation. Well I just started this blog and I am still trying to figure it all out so as you will probably be able to tell this is my first post and it is hard for me to be able to figure out what to say and how to say it. I am excited to finally have a blog and hope you like it. THE END FOR NOW!!!!!
